So I figured I would make a blog.

I’ve noticed a few other people who have good blogs, so I figured I would make my own blog! Starting today, I’m going to make a concerted effort towards documenting my progress on the projects I work on.

This will be useful in a few ways (in no particular order):

  1. Forces me to follow my timelines
  2. Allows me to document my progress
  3. Useful for self reference

My past few efforts towards creating a blog have gone less than spectacularly to say the least. On this front I bring several weapons.

  1. WordPress
  2. A renewed interest
  3. More experience with just about everything

I admit these reasons are sub-par, and if you, the reader, don’t see any posts after this one, you know exactly what happened. I certainly hope this is not the first and only post and that I’ll continue with the blog.

More posts should be the expectation though. I don’t believe quitting so early is really an option. To get good at something you need to take deliberate steps towards that something, and to get good at blogging, I’m going to have to make more posts. And just like the tree that fell in the forest, if I don’t document it, did it really happen?

So what will I be doing moving forward? – Yes, this puts me on the hook

My next post will be on the electric longboard I’m designing. A BOM (bill of materials) and some of the math I did to get to get there will be included. This project has been a lot of fun so far, but I think I’m going to fall down a rabbit hole soon on the electronics front. I’m getting increasingly frustrated with my battery pack options and becoming increasingly interested in PCB development… let’s see how this goes! All I can hope to do is learn something new!
